As per reports on Monday (27 July), a fire broke out at approximately 1230 hours local time (0930 hours UTC) at a workplace located on the upper floor of a three-storey building on Cumhuriyet Street in the İpekyolu district of Van.

• Reports indicate that fire crews from the İpekyolu and Tuşba Fire Department Group Commands responded to the incident with six vehicles and 28 personnel.
• Firefighters rescued two people who were trapped on the roof of the building and extinguished the fire.
• The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure, and no casualties or injuries were reported.
