As per reports, the Tunisian National Railway Company (SNCFT) has announced a partial disruption of rail traffic on the southern suburban lines of Tunis following a train derailment that occurred at approximately 1600 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) on Monday (23 February).

Reportedly, the incident involved a train that had departed from Tunis and was traveling toward Dahmani when it derailed at the entrance to Tunis Station.

• The derailment occurred within the station approach area, leading to immediate operational disruptions, particularly affecting services serving the southern suburbs of the capital.
