As per reports, on Wednesday (03 September), Lisbon’s “Gloria” funicular, a designated national monument and major tourist attraction, derailed.

• At least 15 people were killed and 18 others injured, including foreign nationals.
• The government has declared a national day of mourning.
• Portuguese authorities have launched a full inquiry, led by the judicial police and the national aircraft and railway accident investigation bureau.
