As per reports, as of 1700 hours local time (1500 hours UTC), railway services between Ludwigshafen Hauptbahnhof and Schifferstadt in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, have been disrupted on Wednesday (08 July) following an emergency medical incident on the railway line.
• According to Deutsche Bahn (DB), trains operating from Mannheim are reportedly terminating and originating at Ludwigshafen Hauptbahnhof, while services from Neustadt an der Weinstraße are terminating and originating at Schifferstadt.
• Reports indicate that a railway replacement bus service has been introduced to maintain passenger connectivity between the affected stations. Initially, three replacement buses commenced operations at approximately 1700 hours local time (1500 hours UTC), with an additional six buses entering service from approximately 1730 hours local time (1530 hours UTC), bringing the total number of replacement buses to nine.
• However, the duration of the disruption remains unknown as of 1800 hours local time (1600 hours UTC).
