As per reports, on Tuesday (26 August), Israel experienced several protests in support of a deal to rescue hostages held in Gaza and end fighting in the Strip.
• The mobilisation began at 0629 hours (local time) on Tuesday (26 August), with protesters unfurling Israeli flags outside the US Embassy in Tel Aviv.
• By 0700 hours (local time) on Tuesday (26 August), demonstrations had spread to major traffic intersections across the country, including a blockade of southbound traffic on Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway.
• Throughout Tuesday (26 August), additional demonstrations are planned across Tel Aviv, while nationwide marches are scheduled to commence at 1400 hours (local time).
• Further protests are scheduled in the evening with a large march from Tel Aviv’s Savidor train station to Hostages Square, where the final gathering will take place.
