As per reports, as of Tuesday (19 August), the Capital Emergency Services (Hovedstadens Beredskab) continue to cordon an area around a gas station on Prags Boulevard in Copenhagen after a leak of natural gas (methane gas) from the gas station late on Monday (18 August).
• A security cordon area has been created where Prags Boulevard, Raffinaderivej, and Ved Amagerbanen are blocked within a radius of about 100 meters around the gas station. The blockade will be maintained until the spill is stopped.
• Reportedly, authorities are awaiting technical assistance to find out the cause of the leak.
• Reports indicate that the main gas valve has been shut down until further notice as small amounts of gas are still leaking out.
