As per reports, a major fire incident occurred in a three-storey residential building on Elmhurst Avenue near Harley Avenue in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) neighbourhood on Sunday (14 September) morning.
• The Montreal Fire Department (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal, SIM) reported receiving the call around 0900 hours local time (1300 hours UTC) and issued a third alarm shortly after 1000 hours local time (1400 hours UTC).
• The building was reportedly unoccupied and had no gas or electricity at the time of the incident.
• Despite sustained firefighting efforts, operations continued into the late afternoon, with crews still active as of 1730 hours local time (2130 hours UTC).
