As per reports, authorities are reporting an explosion that occurred on Shalom Aleichem Street corner of Ben Yehuda, near the US Consulate, in Tel Aviv at about 0312 hours local time on Friday (19 July).

• The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the police are investigating the origin of the explosion, and the possibility that it was a drone is being investigated. It is also suspected that the attack was aimed at the US Consulate.
• Several nearby buildings and vehicles have been damaged, and as of 0500 hours local time on Friday (19 July) at least two injuries have been reported. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
