As per reports, an explosion was reported at a coal mining site in the Silopi district of Sirnak, Turkey on Monday (12 August), targeting a service vehicle at a mining operations, during which death of one person and injuries to eight others were reported.

• The injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital, with two reported in serious condition.
• A comprehensive investigation is underway to determine the cause and perpetrators of the explosion as of 0800 hours local time on Tuesday (13 August).
