As per reports, an explosion was reported in an apartment in a residential building on Rue des Fahys in Neuchâtel, Switzerland near the railway station on Tuesday (29 September) shortly after 1200 hours local time (1000 hours UTC).
• The incident has resulted in four injuries, including one seriously injured person who was airlifted to hospital.
• The explosion was followed by a fire, which was extinguished by firefighters. The cause of the explosion remains unknown, while the affected building was evacuated and the surrounding area remained cordoned off during the afternoon.
• Police and firefighters have been deployed to the scene to evacuate the building and secure the area. Road traffic was prohibited in the vicinity of the incident, while significant disruptions has been reported to the public transport network.
