• The mass mobilization has drawn an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 demonstrators, including significant columns of anti-globalization activists who crossed the border from neighboring French regions.
• The cross-border influx of French activists has generated diplomatic and operational friction, with Swiss federal authorities expressing concern over the scale of the unannounced arrivals.
• Public security analysts and local law enforcement officials indicate that a highly volatile atmosphere persists, with prominent factions within the crowd raising fears of imminent riots.
• The primary demonstration column has animated the central thoroughfares of the city throughout the late afternoon and evening hours.
• The affected areas include Place des Nations, Rue de Lausanne, Pont du Mont-Blanc, Promenade des Bastions, Rue du Rhône, and surrounding streets within the Geneva city center, as well as the Bardonnex and Thônex border crossing points.
