As per reports, 5,000 people held demonstrations in Mainz against a right-wing shift on Saturday (15 February). According to the police, the event was spontaneously moved to another location, as more demonstrators than expected came in.

The event was registered under the motto ‘Protecting Queer Rights – Voting for Democratic Parties’. It is part of a nationwide campaign of the Christopher Street Day Movement (CSD) for the Bundestag election on Sunday (23 February).
