As per reports, 30000 people joined a Berlin demonstration against the far right on Sunday (16 February), a week before Germany votes in general election.

Many carried placards with slogans denouncing the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD). The conservative CDU-CSU alliance of former chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to be the biggest party after the election, with the AfD second.
