As per reports, emergency services and the British Transport Police responded shortly before 0800 hours local time (0700 hours UTC) on Wednesday (29 July) following reports of a casualty on the tracks at Highgate London Underground station in the London Borough of Haringey, north London.

• A person was reportedly struck by a train and pronounced dead at the scene.
• The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a report is reportedly scheduled to be prepared for the coroner.
• Highgate station is closed while emergency personnel manage the incident, resulting in the suspension of Northern line services between East Finchley and Archway during the morning commuter period.
• Transport for London subsequently reported that the suspension was limited to southbound services between East Finchley and Archway, while minor delays continued across the remainder of the Northern line. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses.
• Passengers travelling between East Finchley and Archway are advised to use London Buses routes 143, 234 and 263, with estimated journey times of approximately 12 to 14 minutes.
• Passengers travelling from Archway towards East Finchley are advised to use routes 143 and 234, with estimated journey times of approximately 12 minutes.
• As of 1000 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) on Wednesday (29 July), Highgate London Underground station remains closed, with no southbound Northern line service between East Finchley and Archway while emergency services continue to manage the incident.
