As per reports, a Walmart store in Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia, was closed following a reported bomb threat on Tuesday (28 July).

• The threat prompted an emergency response, with authorities initiating security operations at the site.
• According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Jonesville Walmart received a bomb threat, leading to the immediate closure of the store. At approximately 1625 hours local time (2025 hours UTC), authorities stated that the store was expected to remain closed for several hours while investigations and clearance operations were conducted.
• Sheriff Gary Parsons requested members of the public to stay away from the area until the threat had been resolved. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police were deployed to clear the store and the surrounding area as part of the security response.
