As per reports, gunfire near a park in East Baltimore resulted in one death and seven injuries on Sunday (18 August) night. Police responded around 2000 hours local time to the 1300 block of Spring Street near Caroline and Hoffman Park, where they found eight people, aged 22 to 45, who had been shot.

Authorities believe the incident occurred during a gathering on Spring Street, with multiple people firing shots. Several firearms were recovered from the scene. Homicide detectives are investigating, interviewing witnesses, and collecting video and ballistic evidence. No further details on the gathering or suspects have been released.
