As per reports, more than a thousand protesters have gathered at areas in and around Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv on Saturday (01 June), demanding the immediate adoption of a ceasefire proposition forwarded by US President Joe Biden, to Israel’s government.
• The protesters largely belong to families of those taken hostage by Hamas during the Al Aqsa flood operation on 07 October.
• Israeli officials have however highlighted that the adoption of such a proposal would ensure the continuation of Hamas as a threat for Israel.
