As per reports, several religious organizations have called for a ‘Maddur bandh’ (shutdown) on Tuesday (09 September), while the district administration imposed prohibitory orders until 0600 hours on Wednesday (10 September). Markets remained deserted as shops have stayed closed following the imposition of prohibitory orders.

Another round of idol immersions is scheduled for Wednesday (10 September), prompting authorities to maintain heightened security in the region.
