As per reports, one person was killed and another was injured in a shooting that occurred on Friday (25 July) in a dormitory complex at the University of New Mexico. Campus police received a report of gunshots fired at Casas del Rio, one of the student housing complexes, and treated two people with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead and the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to authorities, the suspect is still at large and may still be on campus. The university campus is on lockdown until further notice.
