As per reports, the General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an orange alert for adverse weather conditions expected between Friday (28 February) and Saturday (01 March).

Forecast conditions include snowfall at elevations exceeding 1800 meters, locally heavy thunderstorms (30-50 millimeters) with strong gusts of wind, and blowing dust with wind speeds between 70-95 kilometers per hour

• Snowfall is anticipated in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Taroudant. This is expected to commence on Friday (28 February) at 1100 hours (local time) and continue until Saturday (01 March) at 0600 hours (local time).
• Locally heavy thunderstorms with wind gusts ranging from 30 to 50 millimeters are expected in Safi, Essaouira, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Berrechid, Settat, Casablanca, Nouaceur, Agadir Ida Outanane, and Taroudant on Friday (28 February) from 0600 hours to 2100 hours (local time).
• Additionally, the same phenomenon is forecast to affect Nador, Al Hoceima, Berkane, and Oujda from 0600 hours to 1600 hours (local time) on Friday (28 February).
• Furthermore, strong gusts of wind accompanied by blowing dust (70-95 kilometers per hour) are expected in Figuig, Jerada, Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Zagora, Midelt, Boulemane, Guercif, and Tinghir on Friday (28 February) from 1100 hours to 2100 hours (local time).
