As per reports, several roads in Bintulu will be closed on Monday (22 July) to make way for the state-level Sarawak Day celebration. The road closures will start from 1700 hours to 0000 hours.
The roads that will be closed are the road entering Jalan Abang Galau located at the left side of the old airport grounds until the traffic light junction at Jalan Paragon; from the traffic light junction near to Public Works Department (JKR) building towards the traffic light junction at Jalan Sultan Iskandar; and from Jalan Tun Razak until the traffic light junction heading towards Park city.
• A total of 410 police personnel comprising 31 senior officers and 379 officers of various ranks will be on duty during the day to ensure the state-level Sarawak Day celebration can be hosted without any untoward incident.
• Drone operators are required first to obtain approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia and comply with the instructions of the police stationed at the scene.
