As per reports, a major traffic accident occurred on Emirates Road in Dubai on Monday (08 June), resulting in seven fatalities and injuries to nine individuals.

• According to preliminary findings released by Dubai Police, a truck experienced a technical malfunction and came to a stop in the middle of the roadway. A minibus subsequently collided with the rear of the stationary truck after the driver reportedly failed to maintain sufficient attention and a safe following distance.
• The Indian Consulate in Dubai confirmed that several Indian expatriate workers were among the seven fatalities. Consular officials visited the injured Indian nationals in hospital and stated that they are coordinating with local authorities to provide assistance and support to affected individuals and their families. The exact number and identities of the Indian nationals involved had not been publicly released at the time of reporting.
