As per reports, a general strike is anticipated across Seoul’s subway and bus network on Friday (12 December).

• Unionised workers of Seoul Metro Lines one to eight and Line nine are expected to halt operations following unresolved wage and staffing negotiations.
• Work-to-rule actions since Monday (01 December) have already resulted in slower train movements and reduced operational flexibility.
• The Line nine union has announced a walkout due to unmet commitments to hire 55 additional staff.
