As per reports, members of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) staged a protest on Thursday (07 November) outside the office of Raaj Kamal Films International for allegedly portraying Muslims in a bad light in the movie ‘Amaran’. Around 150 members gathered and protested, along with the burning of effigies of Kamal Haasan, owner of the production company.
Protestors demanded the state government to intervene and ban the movie. Heightened security deployment took place at the site during the protest.
