As per reports, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has scheduled over 20 lane, road, and ramp closures across the state this weekend from Friday (08 November) till Sunday (10 November) due to ongoing construction projects.
• Notable closures include stretches of US 24, I-94, US 131, I-75, and I-696, impacting both major urban and rural routes.
• Northbound lanes of Telegraph Road (US 24) in Wayne County near Redford is expected to be closed from 0900 hours (local time) to 1500 hours (local time) on Friday (08 November), causing potential slowdowns between Grand River Avenue and 7 Mile Road.
• Eastbound I-94 in Jackson County is expected to be closed between the Sandstone Rest Area ramps and RA1B ramp from 0600 hours (local time) Friday (08 November) until 1800 hours (local time) on Saturday (09 November), affecting traffic west of Jackson.
• Northbound I-75 will have three lanes closed from 2100 hours (local time) on Friday (08 November) to 1200 hours Saturday (09 November), reducing to two lanes until 1800 hours (local time) on Saturday (09 November).
• Southbound lanes of Van Dyke Freeway (M-53) in Macomb County are expected to be closed for bridge repairs this weekend, with detours in place using M-59, Mound Road, and 18 Mile Road.
• Eastbound I-696 at M-10 in Oakland County are expected to be closed from 0700 hours (local time) Saturday (09 November) until 1900 hours (local time) on Sunday (10 November), with a detour posted for travelers.
