As per reports, the City of Tomball has announced a scheduled power outage planned for Wednesday (17 December) beginning at 0700 hours local time (1300 hours UTC) to reportedly allow CenterPoint Energy crews to replace power lines, transformers, and utility poles.
• The outage is expected to affect residents and businesses located along West Main Street between Pine Street and Elm Street, including areas extending one block north and two blocks south of Main Street.
• The maintenance activity may involve a large-scale utility operation, with approximately 65 to 70 utility trucks operating within the work zone.
• In addition to the power outage, several local streets and alleys are expected to be closed, including Oak Street, Cherry Street, Walnut Street, and Elm Street between Commerce Street and Fannin Street.
• Vehicular and pedestrian access on these streets is expected to be restricted for the duration of the work.
• The work is expected to be completed by approximately 1500 hours local time (2100 hours UTC), with efforts made to keep the power outage under eight hours.
