As per reports, road construction and sealing works on Gongzheng Road and Xingdong Road in Luodong Township have caused significant traffic congestion on Wednesday (16 September). The works involve excavation and sealing for anti-tank (AC) infrastructure, with road closures forcing vehicles to use narrower connecting roads and alternative routes.
• The westbound lane of Gongzheng Road towards Xingdong Road, north of Zhangqian Road, was closed from 0600 to 0000 hours (local time) on Wednesday (16 September) for the construction works.
• Gongzheng Road near the railway station, Zhangqian Road and surrounding connecting roads, including Cangqian Road, have also been affected by the closures, resulting in congestion across the township.
• The eastbound lane of Gongzheng Road and Zhangqian Road is scheduled to undergo similar excavation and sealing works from 0600 to 0000 hours (local time) on Thursday (17 September), which could result in further traffic disruption.
