As per reports, the Denver Colfax Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday (17 May), with more than 28,000 participants expected to attend events across Denver and Lakewood, Colorado.
• The marathon route is scheduled to begin near City Park during the early morning hours of Sunday (17 May), before continuing through multiple sections of Denver and into Lakewood.
• Traffic authorities stated that multiple road closures and traffic restrictions are scheduled to remain in effect between 0500 hours local time and 1300 hours local time (1100 hours UTC to 1900 hours UTC) on Sunday (17 May).
• Southbound lanes of Colorado Boulevard between East 29th Avenue and East 17th Avenue are scheduled to close during the marathon period, while other portions of Colorado Boulevard are expected to remain accessible.
• Officials stated that major north south travel routes including Interstate 25, Kipling Street and roads west of Kipling Street are expected to remain open for traffic movement throughout the event.
• East west travel routes including East 14th Avenue and roads south of it, along with West 30th Avenue and roads north of it, are expected to remain accessible during the marathon activities.
