As per reports, a severe winter storm in northern Ontario has resulted in the suspension of all Timmins Transit services and the cancellation of garbage and recycling collection on Monday (29 December).

• Multiple municipal facilities are closed, including Timmins City Hall, Service Timmins, the Timmins Economic Development office, all public library branches, arenas, and the Archie Dillon Sportsplex pool.
• Significant road closures are in effect as of 1300 hours (local time) on Monday (29 December), including Highway 655 (Kidd Creek Mine Road to Driftwood), Highway 144 (Timmins to Gogama), and Highway 101 (Timmins to the Quebec border).
• Commercial operations, including the Timmins Square Shopping Centre and Walmart Supercentre, have also closed for the day.
• Emergency and essential service response times may be delayed according to the Cochrane District Services Board.
