As per reports, a risk of road collapse was reported on Avenue Victor Jacobs in Etterbeek, Brussels, due to which the municipality of Etterbeek has announced that repair works are expected to continue until 28 February.

• This situation led to the immediate interruption of tram line 81 services between Montgomery and Flagey. In response, a replacement TBus service has been installed to cover part of the affected route.
• The issue originates from deteriorated old sewer connections. Vivaqua, the entity responsible for maintenance, had initially scheduled the replacement of five sewer connections.
• However, during the course of the work, a large cavity was discovered beneath the road surface, raising significant safety concerns. As a precautionary measure, tram operations have been suspended.
