As per reports, the A40 Western Avenue in Acton, London, was closed in both directions at approximately 1400 hours on Sunday (03 August) following a road traffic collision. The affected stretch lies between A4000 Wales Farm Road and Park Royal Road.

The details are as follows:

• The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have reportedly responded to the incident. An investigation and recovery operation is currently underway.
• The road remains closed as of 1520 hours on Sunday (03 August), and the Transport for London (TfL) has issued alerts for ‘serious delays’ in the area.
• Bus routes 95 and 487 are being diverted, and the stop ‘Wales Farm Road’ is not being served.
