As per reports, the Aring 8–Keniyir–Kuala Jeneris road in Hulu Terengganu, Malaysia, was closed to all vehicles on Wednesday (17 December) after land erosion caused the collapse of a culvert wall due to strong water currents.

• Police authorities confirmed that a section of the road fully gave way at around 0700 hours (local time), prompting an immediate closure to ensure public safety and facilitate repair works.
• Authorities stated that the affected stretch is unsafe for vehicular movement, and concrete barriers and warning signage have been installed. Road users were advised to use alternative routes via Sungai Tong, Jerteh, Kuala Krai, and Aring 8.
