As per reports, a road accident where a 22-wheeler truck rammed into multiple vehicles was reported at Ambiri Kala Chowk on the Indus Highway in Karak, on Saturday (11 January). 12 casualties and more than 15 injuries have been reported in the incident.

• Deputy Commissioner of Karak has confirmed that the crash occurred due to brake failure.
• The police have stated that the death toll could rise as rescue teams work to retrieve victims.
• Emergency services along with the local police are on the spot amid the ongoing relief operations.
• Traffic on the main highway has been restored, though the crash site remains partially cordoned off.
