As per reports, Sabarimala pilgrims will not be allowed to enter the traditional forest route via Karimala until Tuesday (14 January), the day of Makaravilakku, which is the annual festival held on Makara Sankranti at the shrine of Sabarimala.
• Only the Ambalapuzha and Alangad groups coming after Erumeli Pettathulal are allowed to go to Pampa via the forest route on the said days.
• Pilgrims will be sent back from Mukkuzhi. Only the Nilakkal route will be allowed to go to Pampa.
• The spot booking counters that were operating in Pampa have been completely shifted to Nilakkal.
• Parking will not be allowed at Pampa Hilltop from 0800 hours on Sunday (12 January) to 0200 hours on Wednesday (15 January).
• Parking will be arranged at Chalakayat for the vehicles of pilgrims. Barricades have been erected at Valianavattom as many people will be arriving on foot to accompany the Thiruvabharanam procession.
