As per reports, residents of the P&T apartment towers in Mundamveli, Kochi, are scheduled to begin an indefinite siege protest at the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) office in Kadavanthra from Tuesday (26 May), demanding permanent corrective measures for persistent leakage and alleged structural defects in the residential complex.
The protest follows an ultimatum issued by the P&T Apartment Owners Association to the GCDA on 19 May, warning of intensified agitation if immediate remedial action was not taken.
• Residents further reported that heavy rainfall on Sunday (24 May) again caused severe leakage throughout the buildings, reinforcing concerns that existing mitigation efforts remain ineffective.
• Residents have also stated that the protest will continue indefinitely until authorities provide concrete assurances and implement long-term corrective measures.
