As per reports, the National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for hazardous fire conditions in parts of Nebraska and Wyoming from Wednesday (18 March) to Saturday (21 March).
• The warning has been issued due to a combination of low humidity, strong winds gusting up to 30 to 40 miles per hour, and elevated temperatures, significantly increasing the risk of fire ignition and rapid spread.
• The warning is expected to be in effect from Wednesday (18 March) at 1000 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) to Saturday (21 March) at 2000 hours local time (0200 hours UTC). With poor overnight humidity recovery, the fire risk conditions persist even during nighttime hours.
• The affected areas in Wyoming state are Cheyenne, Laramie, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland, and Douglas.
• The affected areas in Nebraska state are Scottsbluff, Sidney, Alliance, Chadron, and Kimball.
