As per reports, severe weather warnings remain in effect across most of England and Wales into Monday (23 September), highlighting the risk of flooding, travel disruption, and power outages.
• Significant damage, including road closures, power cuts, and property damage have been reported in areas of Northampton, Tewkesbury, and Aldershot due to high rainfall on Saturday (21 September) and Sunday (22 September).
• The extreme weather is expected to continue, with additional thunderstorms predicted, particularly across the Midlands and northern England in areas of Wales, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Lancaster, York and Chester through Monday (23 September).
• According to the Met Office, certain areas are expected to receive 60 to 80 millimetres of rainfall, while areas around Wales are expected to receive 100 to 120 millimetres of rainfall on Monday (23 September).
