As per the forecast issued by the Department of Meteorology, Sri Lanka, the following weather conditions are expected over parts of the country on Wednesday (03 July).

• Rainfall will occur at times in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
• Fairly heavy rainfall above 50 mm is likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the districts of Galle and Matara.
• Several spells of rainfall will occur in the North-western province.
• Rainfall or thundershowers may occur at several places in Uva province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the evening or night.
• Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
