Rainfall forecast in Santiago on Wednesday (04 February)

As per reports, light rainfall is forecast in parts of Santiago on Wednesday (04 February), amid a day marked by high temperatures and atmospheric instability.

• Maximum temperatures in Santiago are forecast to reach approximately 29 degrees Celsius during the afternoon on Wednesday (04 February).
• Atmospheric instability is expected to be concentrated over the Andean foothills and mountain range, with conditions allowing weak rainfall to develop.
• Rainfall is forecast to begin in foothill areas of eastern Santiago, including Lo Barnechea, Las Condes, and La Reina, between 1400 hours local time and 1500 hours local time (1700 hours UTC–1800 hours UTC).
• In lower elevation areas of Santiago, including Providencia, Santiago Centro, Maipú, and Puente Alto, isolated rainfall is forecast to occur later in the day between 1700 hours local time and 1900 hours local time (2000 hours UTC–2200 hours UTC).
• The rainfall is expected to be low intensity, localized, and short lived, without characteristics of a storm system.
