The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a forecast for isolated heavy rainfall over the Visayas, Luzon (including Metro Manila), and other regions due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan” on Wednesday (28 February). Further, cloudy skies with light rainfall are expected in Cagayan Valley and Aurora within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a trough of the low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is influencing Mindanao, Caraga and Davao Region, where overcast skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms are likely.
