As per reports, moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across parts of four regions of Chile through Wednesday (19 August).

• The Chilean Meteorological Directorate (DMC) has issued three weather alerts covering sectors of Antofagasta, Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá and Coquimbo.
• In the Coquimbo Region, rainfall is forecast from the night of Sunday (16 August) through the night of Monday (17 August). Rainfall between 15 to 35 millimeters has been forecast.
• In the Antofagasta Region, rainfall is forecast from the afternoon of Monday (17 August) through the early morning of Wednesday (19 August). Rainfall amounts are expected to range between five to 15 millimeters.
• In the Arica and Parinacota Region, rainfall is forecast from the morning of Monday (17 August) through the morning of Tuesday (18 August). Rainfall amounts of five to 10 millimetres are expected.
• In the Tarapacá Region, rainfall is also forecast from the morning of Monday (17 August) through the morning of Tuesday (18 August), where rainfall amounts of five to 10 millimetres are expected.
