The Central Meteorological Observatory forecasts that from Tuesday (14 October) onwards, multiple regions will be affected by heavy rainfall, snowfall, and a strong cold front. The forecast details are as follows:
• From Tuesday (14 October) to Wednesday (15 October), parts of the eastern Sichuan Basin, southern Shaanxi, western and southern Huanghuai, and western Jianghan regions will see moderate to heavy rainfall, with localized torrential rainfall.
• From Thursday (16 October) to Sunday (19 October), moderate to heavy rainfall, with localized torrential or heavy rainfall, is expected in central and southern Shaanxi, the eastern Sichuan Basin, southern North China, the Huanghuai region, Jianghan, Jianghuai, northern Jiangnan, and northern Guizhou.
• From Tuesday (14 October) onward, a strong cold front will push from west to east. Between Tuesday-Wednesday (14-15 October) it will influence Xinjiang, western Inner Mongolia, and western Gansu.
• From Tuesday (14 October) to Wednesday (15 October): light to moderate snowfall or sleet in the Tianshan region, eastern Inner Mongolia, western Jilin, southern Heilongjiang, with heavy to blizzard conditions in some areas; and moderate to heavy rainfall in southern Huanghuai, western/northern Jianghan, eastern Southwest China, western South China, and western Hainan, with local torrential rainfall (50-70 mm) in northeastern Chongqing.
