As per reports, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has forecast continuous rainfall for parts of New South Wales (NSW) coastal areas including Sydney, till Saturday (11 May). This comes after heavy rainfall was reported in NSW for the last few days.
• As on Monday (06 May), parts of Sydney are already at risk of minor flooding following heavy rainfall in the last few days.
• About 60mm to 80mm rainfall was reported across the northern suburbs and Northern Beaches, while the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) has had between 20mm to 35mm of rainfall since 0900 hours on Sunday (05 May).
• Light to moderate rainfall is forecast through the rest of Monday to Wednesday (06 – 08 May), while the risk of moderate to increasing heavy rainfall can be expected from Thursday going into Sunday (09 – 11 May).
