As per reports, Railway Street in Malton, North Yorkshire, is scheduled to close from 10 August until 28 August to facilitate the installation of a new zebra crossing on the existing raised section outside The Cornmill.

• North Yorkshire Council stated that the local one way traffic system is scheduled to be temporarily lifted to support vehicle access and traffic circulation during the closure.
• Motorists should expect diversions, altered traffic flows and increased congestion on surrounding routes serving Malton town centre, the railway station and nearby commercial premises.
• The works are intended to improve pedestrian safety on a principal town centre route. Access arrangements may change as construction progresses, while short notice traffic management adjustments cannot be ruled out.
