• The discovery led a major response by the Vienna Fire Brigade, emergency medical teams, and police, who secured the area and began assessments.
• As of 1800 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) on Monday (09 February), the danger zone was sealed off by police and firefighters to restrict access and protect public safety.
• Radiation measurements detected low airborne radiation levels in the immediate environment, but authorities maintain that these may not pose a risk to individuals outside the secured perimeter.
• Two employees who handled the radioactive object were evaluated by emergency medical personnel and taken to the hospital as a precaution.
• Further on-site detailed measurements and material identity investigations are ongoing, with authorities working to trace the origin of the radioactive item
