As per reports, a 24-hour strike by members of the Queensland Teachers Union (QTU) has been scheduled for Wednesday (06 August), accompanied by a large-scale rally and protest march in Brisbane.

• The main teacher rally starts at 1030 hours (local time) at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC), with participants asked to arrive and be seated by 1015 hours (local time).
• After the assembly, a protest march will commence from BCEC to Queensland Parliament House. Departure for the march is scheduled for 1130 hours (local time).
• The route is expected to pass through major roads in South Brisbane and the Brisbane CBD. The end point is the Queensland Parliament House, located at the corner of George and Alice Streets, Brisbane CBD.
