Public transport route changes announced in Brussels on Friday (26 December) and Monday (29 December)

As per reports, the Flemish public transport operator De Lijn has announced the preventive diversion of 19 bus lines passing through Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Laeken, Saint-Josse, and the North Station district in the Brussels-Capital Region on Friday (26 December) and Monday (29 December), coinciding with Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) matches involving the Moroccan national team.

• According to De Lijn, following a police order and internal risk analysis, buses are expected to be rerouted from approximately the start of the second half of the matches, with services no longer operating in the affected districts after around 2100 hours–2200 hours local time (2000 hours–2100 hours UTC) on Friday (26 December) and Monday (29 December).
• The affected bus lines include: R14, R15, R24, R26, R27, R28, R29, R30, R31, R40, R41, R50, R60, R81, R90, 714, 727, 728, and X60.
