As per reports, a public demonstration is scheduled for Sunday (01 February) in Santiago de Compostela, organized by SOS Sanidade Pública and promoted by the A Mariña health platform. The march is planned to start at midday from Alameda and conclude at Praza do Obradoiro.
Buses are expected to be provided from Viveiro and Ribadeo to facilitate participation. The demonstration’s objective is to defend public health services and oppose the perceived privatization and reduction of Galicia’s public healthcare system.
• Organizers highlighted ongoing shortages in family doctors and pediatricians. Concerns were also raised about under-resourced primary care centers, causing strain on emergency services.
