As per reports, the Masovian Voivodeship Office has announced that a public alert system exercise code named Syrena-26 is scheduled to take place from Monday (12 October) to Friday (16 October).
• Reports indicate that during the exercise, alarm sirens across the Mazovia region are expected to emit a continuous tone for one minute to test the functioning of the public alert and warning system and internal response procedures.
• Reports indicate similar siren system training exercises have recently been conducted in other parts of Poland, including in Kraków County on Saturday (10 October).
• Reports suggest the provincial authorities have appealed to residents to remain calm and take no action during the siren activations.
