As per reports, the demand to make Sihora tehsil of Jabalpur a district intensified in Madhya Pradesh. Former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak Pramod Sahu initiated a hunger strike (Anna Satyagraha) as part of the movement to make Sihora a district.
The movement committee issued an open call to all areas, including Bahoriband, Majhauli, Dhimarkheda, and Sihora, to arrive in Sihora at 1100 hours (local time) on Tuesday (09 December) to stage protests. Organisers claimed that a large crowd is expected.
